Identity is a beautiful, complicated, and sometimes painful thing.
When we know who we are and where we come from, it can give us great joy, meaning, and resilience. However, for some, personal and communal identity is not as simple as it is for others. This may be true if you are multiracial, adopted, a TCK, or have, for whatever reason, spent significant time living in the borderlands of ethnicity and culture. Sometimes, all it takes is a DNA test or a trip abroad to ignite identity questions.
Wherever your questions lie and whatever their nature, it can help to have someone to support you as you reflect on your experiences and relationships, to encourage you as you seek to know yourself better, and to find peace in knowing who you are and the joy of living out of that confidence which comes from knowing what you bring to the world, simply by being you.
